A parasail is quite a bit like a gigantic kite, designed to carry a human passenger. Unlike a hang glider, a parasail must be towed by a vehicle to stay aloft. Parasails are commonly towed by boats over the water during the summer months in vacation areas, though I suppose nothing would prevent someone from towing one behind a land vehicle, except for the rough landing. If you have the chance to ride a parasail, I recommend that you do. It will cost you about eighty dollars, but it is well worth it unless you have a fear of heights. It beats water skiing, and it is much more relaxing than bungie jumping.
