Take one scoop vanilla ice cream, place in 16 oz. mug of stout. Eat as you would a rootbeer float, except for occassional reflections on how lucky you are to be eating ice cream with your beer.

While the easiest recipe is to use Guiness as the stout, there are many other options. Some of my favorites include the Bell's Kalamazoo Stout, Bell's Expedition Stout, North Face Extreme Stout, Black Hook Espresso Stout and Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout.

You are, of course, encouraged to try your own favorite stout instead.
