Suba was born in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia on June 23, 1961. While in Europe, he studied jazz, classical composition, wrote music for theatre, ballet and film. He moved to São Paulo in the mid-80's, where he recorded his only album, "São Paulo Confessions." Many considered him to be Brazil's top producer. He had just mixed Bebel Gilberto's first album when he died on November 2nd, 1999. A fire broke out in his apartment and he died from a heart attack due to smoke inhalation.
