Exclusive snack from
Spain (The packs are stamped with
serial numbers). Usually they are made with roasted
almonds and consumed during Christmas. Different variants exist, some have a white coating and are dry, others are brownish in colour and stored in some kind of oil. The taste is a bit strange, and takes some getting used to.
The ingredients of the special Turrón de Jijona: Roasted almond (64%, so that's the main taste factor), sugar, honey and egg white.
