I'm a scientist. I'm holding on tightly to the joyful wonderment with which I perceived the natural world as a child. It's my most prized possession.

In my spare time, I have enjoyed biking, hiking, sailing, and hanging out with friends. But, I now find myself expelled from paradise in a strange city, sans amigos. So, I have been filling my time hacking my free software projects, NWMap and KStars, and reading too much El Slashdotto and (of course) Everything2.

I'm not a poet, so my nodes might be on the dry side. Oh well, it's an encyclopaedia, right? :)
