i live in a room, the room is in a building, the building is not very tall but i am on the fourth floor. i spend much time in my room, listening to the noises, looking out of my window at the campus of a highly esteemed university. a building nearby is far taller, and there is a patch of grass in front of it we call the "dot". it is a small isolated patch of grass in a large vast meadow of concrete. large windowed buildings stare at me. the boston skyline is to my left. the sun sets exactly in the center of my window. i face west, every day, when i wake up, when i go to sleep. there is a cat usually with me but mostly i am alone and thats how i like it, alone but one with you too. good night.
