This may be paranoia, considering I've got all of five writups under my belt.
It just seems odd that each of them has exactly one downvote, regardless of the number of upvotes.

if I didn't know better I'd think I had a serial downvoter. I feel like such a celebrity.

Good thing their efforts are amounting to absolutely nothing. One downvote per writeup doesn't even take away the xp gain for writing it.

Update:Huzzah! A second downvote on one of my writeups! Now I can consider the possibility that my writing is less than perfect! Either that or my friend made a friend.

Further Update:That makes three whole downvotes since I started writing all this in my homenode. Three of my eight downvotes in a matter of hours! I rock!
