The amount of microplastics we have in our brains- that's about the same weight as a standard pencil. Perhaps the levels of cognitive dissonance we are experiencing isn't entirely rooted in current events, but rather the simple accumulation of plastic shards in our gray matter. Is that comforting or terrifying?
