What is it?
Is it us?
Does it reflect us?
Or is it just
"Them"
As in "their" mistake
Their country
Their generation
Their responsibility
What's the difference
Between us and them?
Is it a matter of circumstance, a matter of judgment
Regulatory differences, cultural differences,
A matter of inherent betterness,
Or maybe just a sense of pride
Antagonized along battle lines
That seemingly divides
An us from a them
Might we imagine ourselves too wise for "their" mistakes
Or is it a matter of time?
