5 minutes: "A favorite Halloween memory"

A favorite Halloween memory wasn't something she could ever really recall. Her parents never cared much for holidays. It was just another day to them, in which they occasionally and begrudgingly participated, if only to fit in with the neighbors.

Her childhood was much more frightening in other ways. Darkness that would overwhelm any real Halloween story. But that was not something she wanted to dwell on. Those things were in the past. A nightmare she woke up from after a decade.

So yeah, maybe she didn't have a favorite Halloween memory from her childhood, but that didn't mean it wasn't yet to come. The future contains all the memories yet to be made and she was determined to wash away her past.
