Alvin Toffler is one of the world's most influential futurists. His books, such as Future Shock and The Third Wave take a very detailed and interesting look at the social, economic, and political systems of the past, and where they are going. His best selling books have been banned in the People's Republic of China.
His latest book, War and Anti-War, co-authored by his wife Heidi, shows how war has changed since the first half of the 20th century, and documents the militarization of society that is taking place.
Editors Note: Alvin Toffler died in his sleep on June 27, 2016, at his home in Los Angeles. The cause wasn't given. He was 87 years old.
