This book is a collection of 26 humorous and educational poems with accompanying illustrations about the same number of historical personages, be they actual, fictional, or mythical. The poems, although a hundred plus years old, make interesting and memorable introductions to the characters covered and would make a great teaching (and learning!) tool. All intend to be found within this site, under their appropriate nodes, beginning with "Iago,", as Othello is one of my favorite Shakespearean plays. The three to follow will be those without any writeups of any sort at the time of publication of this writeup: "Lucullus," "Yvetot," and "Zenobia." The rest will follow, in no particular order.
