The past is measured by monuments and mementos;
the future by tea leaves and psychics.
Who measures the present?

I asked myself
What would I do with a past I could change? And,

how would my life be different if I could fast forward the future?
It is fluid, there in my mind, with my eyes closed
Future imperfect

Here, at this breakfast table I am reading yesterday's news
listening to the radio, trying to understand today

How much of the present is mine to keep?
How much is gone before I can grasp it;                                                                                                                                    before I remember to save it?
