Bagism was something John Lennon and Yoko Ono tried during the late 1960s as part of their peace campaign against the Vietnam War; they did a few interviews from inside large white cloth bags and kept signs around them saying "BAGISM." The two's "Wedding Album" was also originally released with a 12" square mylar bag with "Bagism" printed on it inside the sleeve. The idea was that when a person was hidden inside one of these bags, you could not judge them by their visual appearance, certainly a problem when the anti-war movement was percieved as being run by sloppy hippies.
