A kind of jam spongy cake thing that was invented in Bakewell, England. Quite nice

A Bakewell tart is a type of traditional English baked tart. It consists of a shortcrust pastry shell which is filled with jam (of any sort, but raspberry is most common) and frangipane. It is usually topped with flaked almonds.
