Unlike
Acid Insoluble Sulfides, basic insoluble sulfides are ions that do not have a very strong affinity for sulfur and will only
precipitate out of
solution in the present of large amounts of dissolved sulfur. The base pushes the
disassociation of H
2S towards the right for the
opposite reason
acid pushes it to the left.
