In
1932, was "created" by
Walter Knott (that's right kiddies, the one and only founder of
Knott's Berry Farm). A
Boysenberry is a cross between a
blackberry,
loganberry, and
raspberry.
Walter Knott named the berry after his longtime friend,
Rudolph Boysen.
Boysenberry jam is
very good on warm biscuits with butter, although it is usually too sweet for some, and tends to be rather seedy. However, the seeds crunch easily and shouldn't damage your teeth too much. (That's what the
sugar's for. =))
