The other main character in Masamune Shirow's Appleseed series (the main character being Deunan Knute). He also works as a member of the elite ESWAT team. He is also a rather large cyborg.
His full name is Briareos Hecatonchires, which identifies him as one of the Hecatonchires series of cyborgs, distinguished by the ability to handle huge numbers of peripheral devices.
