The last great
prophet of the great god
Om in
Terry Pratchett's
Discworld novel, "
Small Gods".
Brutha isn't too bright, or wasn't, mainly because he takes a very literal view of everything around him. He has a photographic memory, but that doesn't necessarily translate into intelligence unless you've gotten a good education, which he hadn't. He had a grandmother who spent most of his childhood beating the tenets of Om into his head, instead. However, he's also (at the time of the story) the only Omnian in the entire Disc who truly believes in Om, which is good, because it's the only thing that saves Om from spending the rest of his existence as a one-eyed tortoise.
