The E2 Content Editors are in the process of removing the many non-compliant writeups that still exist in the E2 database. It is expected that this process will take some time and that it will evolve along the way. Initially, we intend to encourage the Content Editors to provide the CST with lists of the writeups that they have removed as a source for CST referrals. The writeups on this page are available for rescue and we encourage their rescue by aspiring E2 authors.

The CST Referral Service will be conducted on a strictly voluntary basis with none of the parties involved compelled to perform their particular function. Specifically, Editors will only submit rescue requests for writeups that they feel are important enough to warrent the effort. Authors with writeups that have been nuked will not be compelled to put any of them up for rescue.  In other words, for this service to work, everyone involved will need to willingly cooperate in the process and exercise common sense and due diligence..  The CST will not be responsible for adjudicating any disputes that arise.

The CST Referral Service will operate along the following lines:

1. The CST will create and maintain a Referral List that will contain the title and E2 author of any writeups that are currently non-compliant under the new E2 Copyright Policy. (See list at the top of this document.)

Sources for these writeups may include:

- Nuked writeups that an E2 Content Editor would like to see rescued,

- Writeups an author has decided they will not update for compliance, that they'd like to see rescued,

- Writeups from a fled noder, or which are otherwise abandoned that someone would like to see rescued.

2. The CST will actively solicit noders who are interested in honing their noding skills, and earning some XP, by updating a rescued writeup for copyright compliance, putting some meat on the bones in terms of quality explication, and posting the results to the applause of the whole E2 community. The CST believes that this is a good value proposition for many E2 Authors.

3. The CST will endeavor to provide rescuers with the Quoted Material from the original writeup wherever possible. The original E2 Author's explication text will not be provided to the rescuing author in most cases. Ancillary information such as filmographies, citations, footnotes etc, will be considered on a case by case basis.

4. Rescued writeups will receive the CST Approvedtag, as well as any additional rewards deemed appropriate by the CST Admins. All rescued writeups will receive a CST review indicating compliance prior to posting.
