CTV Inc. owns Canada’s CTV Television Network.

The company has grown from its roots at CFTO in Toronto, to become Canada’s premiere private broadcaster.

CTV Inc.’s shares trade on The Toronto Stock Exchange and The Montreal Exchange under the pretentious symbol TV.
It should be noted that CTV was recently aquired by BCE.

BCE's interest in satellite and broadband broadcasting will put CTV in a very enviable position against the other networks.

In the United States, after HBO's Comedy Channel and Viacom's HA! merged in 1991, they chose the name CTV: The Comedy Network. Canada's CTV complained, and the name was changed to Comedy Central fairly quickly.
