Calcium Formate (Ca(HCOO)
2)is provided as white, fine
crystals. It has been found to be an
effective feed
additive, functioning as an
acidulant, and as an
antibiosis agent, preventing
diarrhea and
dysentery, and helping
digestion. It can be used in place of
citric acid in this application.
Other applications include use as an anti-corrosion agent, briquette binder, and in drilling fluids.
