Καφαυρος

A Libyan who was the son of Amphithemis (also known as Garamas) and one of the Nymphs of Lake Triton, and so the grandson of Acacallis and Apollo. One day he was looking after his flocks of sheep in Libya not far from Lake Triton when one of the Argonauts, whose name was Canthus, tried to steal some of them to feed his hungry companions. Caphaurus killed him but was himself overpowered by the Argonauts and then killed (see CEPHALION).
