Originally Cassano's Pizza King, the Cassanos pizza/seafood/sub chain of restaurants was created by Vic Cassano and Mom Donisi in 1953 in Kettering, OH- where it is to this day based.

The first day of business (being located in a 20x15 foot room next to a grocery store) saw some 200 pizzas hand made, dough and all, sold within an 8-hour period from 4PM to midnight.

By 1968, Cassano's had grown to a chain of 12 restaurants and the main business had relocated to 1700 E Stroop Road- its current residence.

In 1994, the Cassano's crew expanded business by starting "Cassano's Fresh Frozen Dough" which manufactures dough for Cassano's chains and other pizza places through order. In 1999, the Cassanos forged their "Cassano's Pizza Express" dream into reality, adding Cassano's express stations to popular hotels, gas stations, convenience stores, etc.

Currently, Cassano's restaurants can be found in Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, West Virginia, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and various other states.
