A small country town in
Scotland, west of
Perth.
It was founded in the early 1300's as a trading town between the Highlands and Lowlands, in the ancestral lands of the MacGregor clan. The original town cross still stands.
The name comes from the Gaelic word "craoibh," meaning "tree," which is the primary symbol on the MacGregor coat of arms.
