A
techno band out of
Japan, Denki Groove puts out some decent
club dance music, good enough to
groove to at least.
Takkyu Ishino and
Pierre Taki, leads for Denki Groove, began their careers with a band named
Jinsei in
1986. In
1990, following the break-up of Jinsei, they were joined by
Marin Ishino and formed Denki Groove. Most attendees at their concerts say their stage performances are unique in an aggressive and funny way, cutting beats that are simultaneously nonsense and sarcastic but frank. Since I do not speak
Japanese I can only assume they are right.
Denki Groove is good listening material if you want a different sort of sound that you can still bounce around in your chair and annoy your workmates with.
