The avoidance of an opponent's attempted battement. This action is frequent, but the term is rarely applied unless the person conducting the action has already established Point-in-Line.

A Derobement usually involves moving the tip of the blade in a circular fashion, dipping the end of the blade just slightly under your opponent's beat, and out of harm's way.
