The Drakensberg is the highest mountain range in South Africa. The Zulu call it ukhahlamba, 'Barrier of Spears'. The Drakensberg is a popular tourist destination; its hiking trails and wildlife reserves are both major South African attractions. Other features of note are the Tugela Falls, the world's second-highest waterfall, and caves within which bushman paintings have been discovered that date back over two thousand years.
