A New York indie label, founded by Bernard Stollman, around the time of
the 60's October Revolution in Jazz; they specialized in avant-gardes of
various stripes. Besides documenting the NYC free jazz scene, they signed up
The Fugs, and&released LPs by Timothy Leary and William Burroughs. In a
utopian gesture, the covers featured several major languages, and Esperanto - they even had an Esperanto record (Ni Kantu En Esperanto - ESP 1001). I have no idea who owns ESP now.
