It is imperative that you learn how to use a text editor if you're on
a UNIX(-like) system. Most configuration options have to be written
into text files in the /etc directory (as opposed to a point-and-click
configuration utility).
Luckily, there are a legion of free editors out there for UNIX(-like)
systems. I will discuss some of the more popular editors for GNU/Linux
here. Remember, these text is not intended to teach you how to master
a certain text-editor. You should learn that from a proper manual.

Unfortunately, these are the only two screen based editors I can work with.
If you have some experience with another editor (joe, pico, etc.),
and you feel like writing something about it, please do and tell me when
you're done.
