Eggnog squares do taste a lot like eggnog, but are completely homemade! These are fantastic
holiday treats, and go well with
hot chocolate or other rich sweets for a
Yuletide dessert. They also are easily wrapped (individually, if possible) for a unique
gift!
Ingredients:
Directions:
Grease 13x9x2 pan. Cook and stir sugar and butter in a medium saucepan at medium heat until melted. Cook and stir 2 minutes more after melted. Cool for 10 minutes. Stir in eggs one at a time. Then stir in vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder, and nutmeg. Stir in coconut. Spread into pan. Bake at 350ºF for 25-30 minutes. Cool in pan.
NOTE: I prefer to make it without the coconut as coconut is the devil, and it comes out fine if you leave it out. Also I myself greased AND floured the pan because the batter is exceedingly sticky.
