An electrical
engineer designs and works on anything that involves
electricity.
Common uses of an electrical engineer include designing:
Audio equipment such as
amplifiers,
sound processors (
DSP), and
radio tuners.
High
frequency equipment such as
antennas,
transmitters, and
receivers (similar to radio tuners).
Programming equipment such as
microcontrollers and
computers.
Power distribution equipment such as
transformers, power lines, and electrical
meters.
Like almost all engineers, the electrical engineer cannot survive just knowing electrical techniques. Their projects must integrate with the
mechanical design and
industrial manufacturability.
