King of Kent ??-560

Eormenric was the son of Octa, son of Aesc, son of Hengist, who came to rule the kingdom of Kent at some date following the death of his father.

It is recorded in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle that Eormenric died in the year of our lord 560 when he was succeeded by his son Aethelbert who came to be the greatest of the noble kings of Kent. But other than this simple fact nothing further is known of him.
