One of the longest titles of a
Beatles track, this
John Lennon number had no title when they began recording it in June/July 1968. A title 'Come On, Come On', the opening words to the song, was considered, but then John confirmed it to be '
Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey' and commented, 'That was just sort of a nice line that I made into a song. It was about me and
Yoko Ono. Everybody seemed to be paranoid except for us two, who were in the glow of love.' It was included as a track on
The Beatles (White Album) double album.
