Between trying to keep up with technology after being given an Android tablet, by my ever-challenging sons so I can snapchat, trying to maintain some semblance of normalcy in our home as an Alzheimer's wife, while adjusting to thyroid medication, with younger son having moved out, plus helping my daughter stay the course with three very different pre- and adolescent sons, juggling work, middle and high school, hockey schedules and Army drill weekends once a month, plus helping my mother...I feel like I'm struggling to hold onto who I am. At 61, this is not what I had dreamed of, but life is full of surprises, both good and bad.

Never in my wildest nightmares, did I imagine one day I'd be using a computer on a daily basis, nor a phone that fits in my pocket. I always thought I'd simplify, go back to the old ways, get off the grid, live by the sea alone. I'm shocked that no one here has written about heartbleed, palcohol, or e-cigarettes. Don't you people read the news or watch it on tv or online? WAKE UP. The world is changing and you who are young can do something about it! Those of us who are past middle age can warn you of dangers or encourage you, but WE KNOW YOU DO NOT REALLY LISTEN. We were young once, too.

If this place has a chance of being more than a social club, THERE NEEDS TO BE CHANGE. Don't any of you want to change the world or at the very least, your sphere of influence? There is incredible talent here. DARE TO BE BOLD. DARE TO SHOUT. DARE TO START CHANGE. In the relatively short time I've been here, I see so much potential yet so much stubborness to HOLD ONTO THE PAST. It literally blows my mind that there seems to be such complacency, such reluctance to budge. I applaud those who work behind the scenes, but we are now in the 21st Century. This site should reflect that, both in visual style as well as user interface. Anyone who really cares, please ask me for specifics, because so far my suggestions have not had much effect.

Afterword: When I typed e-cigarettes in the search box, nothing came up. My apologies to current noder Hazlenut, who wrote about them, my point being it should have shown the link, despite a capital letter or the addition of an s at the end of the word. When I typed in heartbleed, it lead to a noder who has never written anything. As for palcohol, I realize I'm probably preaching to the wrong choir here. Go to their website. While you're at it, read up on the current statistics on E-cigarettes. Factual write-ups are not my thing, but I have strong feelings about companies who try to make money by skirting the rules. As for the responses I've received about changes on E2, thank you. I'll compile a list.
