A small town located on the west coast of Sweden. It lies half an hour driving time south of Strömstad and about an hour north of Uddevalla.

In the summertime like many others of its fellow villages on this coast of tourism it gets practically flooded with visitors. Mostly tourists from Norway, other parts of Sweden but also all the neighbouring countries of Northern Europe as well as the rest of the world.

Fjällbacka is especially known for its famous gorge called "Kungsklyftan" (The Kings Gorge) which splits the mountain Veddeberget in two. Formerly called "Ravneklovan" (The Gorge of Ravens) it changed name after being visited by the swedish king Oscar II. But, the gorge is probably better known as being part of the scenography of the swedish movie Ronja Rövardotter who tells the story written by the famous swedish childrens' author Astrid Lindgren.
