An Austrian Alpine ski racer, Franz Klammer is the greatest downhiller to have ever raced. He won the Olympic Downhill in 1976 and the World Cup Downhill title five times: 1975-1978 and 1983. He won a record 25 World Cup Downhill races during his career.

Klammer was born in Mooswald, Austria in 1953.
