The practice in which one's life is neglected entirely for hours / days / weeks on end with no clear purpose, safe of being a complete geek.
EXAMPLE: Staying up incredulously late one night freeing up disk space within the first 1023 physical cylinders of your hard drive, just so you can install Linux (which you will likely delete on another geek-binge for no particular reason).
USAGE: "Johnny must be on a geek-binge. I haven't seen him for three days. He's not answering his phone, either. I hope he's eating, but I doubt it."
