Gonzalo Rubalcaba is a jazz pianist from Cuba currently living in the US. He was discovered by Charlie Haden who brought him to the US. Gonzalo's style combines amazing technique and touch, with his Cuban-rooted groove to form a startling fast-paced semi-free jazz style of playing. His latest release, Inner Voyage, thou, offers a more calm and maybe mature person, and his style changes to something more spacey and Bill Evans-like.
