A Roman (serif) typeface, designed by George W. Jones for Linotype in 1925.

For his inspiration, Jones chose an antiqua typeface (approximately 16 points) used by the Parisian printer Jean Poupy in 1582 for an edition of Bouchier's Historia Ecclesiastica. The font used in that edition was actually created by Claude Garamond, so the link to Robert Granjon claimed in the typeface's name is tenuous at best.
