Heian is a young fella who splits his time between Burlington, Washington and Hamilton, New York, where he attends a college named Colgate University. He doesn't know why he is writing this in the third person. He is currently planning to major in Japanese and Computer Science. At this point he wants to become fluent in Japanese and perhaps get a job in Japan. He'd like to distance himself from anime geeks and hardcore Japanophiles but isn't entirely sure he can.
Outside of his scholarly pursuits, Heian really enjoys listening to heavy metal. Not the sissy angstier-than-thou whiny crap that's been spewing from the American market for the last few years, but real metal. Among his favorite bands:
