i climbed from spoonfuls of lust and
the shadows of sin but so beautiful i
lost myself in the way you loved every
breath that passed my lips and slid
over soft skin, yours, i wept violently
my head cradled by kind shoulder, always.

could have, did, died a million times over in a
solid spiral of what if, when we.. can you
be everything or nothing and there is some
strange, perfectly terrible feeling in the
way you make everything tumble from jaded clouds
to be replaced with this melting reality

i remember the brief moment that i knew
i felt, penetratingly so, in your arms and
so exhausted, never close enough too close to giving up
weary eyes, sad tear stained cheek lost,
dreaming, and then.. i found it in you.

             sing to me
