Holders are small single hull sailboats built by the well-known surfboard and catamaran manufacturer, Hobie. Holders are no longer being built, but they are still easy enough to find used. They come in 9’, 12’, and 14’ versions. The use one large main sail only, no jib. Built of fiberglass, Holders are very rugged and stand up to a lot of abuse (or at least mine has). They are excellent for beginning sailors.
