INDIAN BREAD (LAGAULED)

1 egg slightly beaten in a cup of water (or ½ water and ½ milk)

2 cups of flour

4 teaspoons baking powder (2 teaspoons to each cup of flour)

1 level teaspoon of salt

add more water until you get the right consistency (if needed)

grease pan and dot top of dough with shortening (or butter)

cook in frying pan or griddle on medium heat

when one side is done flip it over and cook other side

Bless the bread and break off pieces (do not cut bread with a knife)

Good with jam, molasses, maple syrup, etc.
