JESUS JUSTUS
(juhs' tuhs) GREEK: IESOUS HO LEGOMENOS IOUSTOS
"Jesus called just/lawful"
_______________

As associate of Paul, Jesus Justus was with the apostle during his imprisonment by the Romans. In writing to members of the Christian church in the small town of Colossae in Asia Minor, Paul listed Jesus Justus along with Aristarchus and Mark. These three, Paul said, "are the only men of the circumcision (Jews) among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have been a comfort to me" (Col. 4:11). Jesus Justus is mentioned nowhere else in the New Testament.
