Award-winning British actor, born June 1, 1947 in Wales. Pryce studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and acted with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He started acting on British TV in the mid-1970s. His breakthrough movie role was as Sam Lowry, the main character in Terry Gilliam's Brazil. Many Americans may remember him as the TV spokesman for Infiniti's car advertisements in the mid-1990s.

Among many notable film performances, he played Mr. Dark in the 1983 movie version of Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes; appeared in Gilliam's The Adventures of Baron Munchausen; had a small role in the screen version of David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross; played Juan Peron in the movie version of Evita; and played a James Bond villain in Tomorrow Never Dies. He won Best Actor at Cannes for his role as Lytton Strachey in Carrington (1995).

He's done respected theatrical work as well, winning Tony Awards for his work in Comedians (1977) and in the original Broadway cast of Miss Saigon (1990).
