Living in the country I have learned many interesting but possibly useless things, such as how to make a catapult.
Today I taught my self a new skill. I can now mow my entire field, using only my foot on the steering wheel. I lean back in the seat, cross my arms behind my head, leave one foot down to hit the brake, and put the other foot on the steering wheel. It takes a surprising amount of flexibility. It was awesome; I could almost go to sleep. Only then I’d fall off. My dad came out and caught me. Most parents would have kicked my butt off the tractor and taken away my license.
No, my dad said “that’s disgusting” stood there for a few moments and then said “I’m gonna go get my camera.”
This is why I am not deterred in finding new and unusual ways to do things more often than is normal.
