Kyodo News (Kyôdô Tsûshinsha), is the Japanese equavalent of the Associated Press. A non-profit cooperative news organization funded primarily by membership dues and non-member subscription fees, Kyodo distributes original news content to almost every newspaper and television network in Japan. Kyodo also has an English language service that produces over 300 English-language articles daily, primarily relating to Japan, for distribution to news organizations worldwide.

Kyodo employs more than 1000 reporters and photographers throughout Japan, and also has several hundred foreign correspondents. Kyodo's main office is in Minato-ku in Tokyo, but it also has a major subsidiary, Kyodo News International (KNI), located in New York City.

Kyodo was founded by a cooperative of Japanese news media in 1945. Kyodo News International was spun off in 1982.
