Chapter five in
Global Brain, by
Howard Bloom. 1st ed. copyright 2000, John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
This chapter follows the rise of mammals, from approximately 210 million B.C. through about 4 million B.C.. More specifically, it follows how these mammals formed societies, and how they passed information, memes, to each other. Numerous examples come from various researchers, such as John F. Eisenberg, Author of The Oxford Companion of Animal Behavior, primatologists K. R. L. Hall and Shirly Strum, and Jane Goodall Research Center director Dr. Chistopher Boehm. Bloom also references Cynthia Moss' elephant research.
