Recipes

Hot Beef Ramen

I find the basic beef flavor to be quite bland, especially in the Maruchan Ramen line. So I kick it up a serious notch now and again. Cook as normal. One minute into the noodle boil, sprinkle in some hot pepper seeds; don't overdo this until you've done it a few times. You're better putting in too few than putting in too many. I use habanero, but I don't recommend them to those who don't like serious heat. Ask in the vegetable department at your local grocery for a milder hot pepper. When finished, add in a dash of curry powder, a strong dash of coriander, a dash of garlic powder, and a healthy dash of pepper. This makes for a very hot and spicy, but delicious ramen dish.

Veggie Beef Ramen

Buy some celery, some water chestnuts, and (if you like) a small green pepper. Dice them up before cooking. Begin to cook as normal; add the peppers in at the start, and about a minute in, add the celery and water chestnuts. At the end when you add seasoning, add a strong dash of pepper and a small dash of coriander. Quite delicious.
